Ribbon Wreath

I wanted to make something for my son's bedroom door but couldn't really think of anything. I Started looking around and found all these cute ideas people do with wreaths so I decided to try one of them.

I matched the ribbon with his room colors

My husband says this is too girlie for a boys bedroom so I didn't hang it. I disagree with him but would rather avoid his looks when he sees it hanging :)

Jacob's Nursery

Im excited to share (finally)!
It took us a while to finish my son's room since we were getting settled into our new house and had lots of other things going on but we finished it. Good thing it was before he moved out lol

This is during the process...

And then.....

I love his little chair!!!!

The room has gotten a few changes now that my baby boy is growing up. The crib has been turned into a toddler bed, the changing table has been removed andbeen replaced with his new dresser. Oh and who can forget- his TV that still needs to be hung on the wall (currently sitting on top of the dresser)
Im wondering what theme we will be going for in a couple of months??

Homecoming Mums!

A few weeks ago my sister asked if I could make her a homecoming mum... Me of course not being able to say no agreed. I did warn her that Id never made one before but would definitely try. We were supposed to work on it together but I ended up doing all the work- her answer to everything " I trust you"
So this is the finished product....
Her only request was to incorporate leopard.

The monkey was a cute idea... Not your usual teddy bear :)

Overall it looked pretty good for my 1st one ever!!

Ok so a couple days later she calls me again and wants the matching set for her date.... So then it was time to make a garter mum. I was a little concerned about a guy having the leopard print in the mum but hey- they're supposed to match ;) I told her to mention it to him but she said it would be fine and he wouldn't care so I got to work.
No monkey for his ;)

Also finished one for my friends daughter.. (Incorporating zebra print)

Lots of blogging to do!!

I'm new to this blogging thing!
I'm so out of my element but I'm having fun with it. There is lots to say but not in one night.
So its time to go to bed and continue tomorrow.
The house is quiet and I love it :)
Goodnight everybody. Until next time.

Jacob's 1st Birthday Party

My son's 2nd birthday is coming up in January. If you know me you would know that I start planning early! I am 100% in party planning mode! This brought me back to his 1st birthday party (also the very 1st party I have planned) We had such a great time. My baby is growing up too fast!
So the theme was "Mod Monkey"

My birthday boy :)

The cake table

Table centerpieces

The moonwalks

The Sweets Table

Personalized water bottles
The kids favor boxes
"Jungle Juice" to go with the theme

Jake enjoyed the day :)

So Im hoping his 2nd birthday goes as smooth as the 1st!! We decided on a theme............ Fire truck/Dalmatian party :) I'll keep posting updates on the planning.
